MICRO is an activated carbon that is produced under the basic properties to comply with such characteristics at a very competitive price. It is manufactured from coconut shell and is thermally activated in a reducing atmosphere, saturated with water vapor.

The aforementioned provides this carbon with three important qualities to be used for water purification:

(a) the raw material is from vegetal origin, so it does not contain heavy metals and related contaminants that are typically present in coal;

(b) when it is thermally activated, no chemical compounds are used that may leave residues in the carbon; and

(c) the coconut shell carbon has a pore diameter that adsorbs with greater efficiency low molecular organic contaminants that are usually the most dangerous for human beings.
