Carvapur Pellet is an activated carbon characterized by a particularly high surface area. It has the property of preferentially adsorbing organic molecules whose molecular weight is between 55 and 150. Such molecules tend to be volatile, so they are typically present in the air and other gases.

This product is manufactured from coal that is pulverized and then pelletized in order to obtain a cylindrical shape that minimizes the pressure drop of the gas to be treated. Typically, it retains between 0.2 and 0.8 kg of contaminants per kg of activated carbon.

It is recommended that the surface velocity of the air or gas that is purified with this carbon range between 10 and 30 m/min, and that the empty bed contact time be higher than 0.1 seconds.

Among the main application for this product are the following: emission control of volatile organic compounds in different industrial processes, air conditioning, solvent recovery, fridge deodorization, extractor hoods, compressed air purification (diving cylinders and hospital tanks), and purification of industrial gases such as carbonic gas, hydrogen, helium, and acetylene.
