History of Carbotecnia

We are a company that has a heritage that started in Guadalajara, Mexico in 1987. We started with the purpose of producing one of the most interesting materials known to man: The activated carbon. We installed the first activating plant; from coconut shells; in northamerica. This type of carbon has adequate characteristics for certain applications, and that was imported;until recentely; from southern asia.

 

In the beginning, we centered our activity in the Mexican market, and since 1995, we export to different countries, starting with Spain. As a commercial strategy we diffused the physical-chemical principals of the adsorption with activated carbon , that were at that time practically unaccessible to technical personnel of all levels. For many years we gave courses to companies, universities, and research centers in all ibero-america. We published bulletins, items and a book about the use of activated carbon.

 

After some years of only producing standard carbon, we started with special carbon such as: bacteriastatic, ultrapure and consumable. Moreover, with the collaboration of world class researchers, we implemented the manufacturing of modified surface carbon to retain compounds that are not adsorbed by a regular activated carbon.

 

As years passed, we included the commercialization of other adsorbents and ionic exchangers, also services and equipment of engineering in the treatment of fluids.

 

Among the principal areas for use of our products are: chemical breathing cartridges, odor elimination ( mainly from sewerage ), recuperation of volatile organic compounds,environment control, treatment in poisoning, water purifiers, potabilization, refinery of any kind of beverage, purifying of industrial gases and the treatment of residual water.
